About us.
House-Hut is an award winning novel form of Estate Agency which has thrown away all the bad habits and working practices used by many traditional agents. House-Hut won the Grand Prix Silver Award for the whole UK at the Estate Agent of the Year Awards (ESTA’s) 2010 and also the Gold Award for the South West. This is the FIFTH year running we have been recognised at the ESTA’s having won the silver award for the South West in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Why are these awards important? When sellers are choosing an agent to sell there most valuable asset they will first and foremost want to use someone they can trust to do a good job. As a new agent in an area it is very hard to establish that trust and win instructions without some assisitance. The awards provide a huge bonus to our franchisees and enabeles you to grow and become established much quicker than would otherwise be possible. No experience in estate agency is required. We offer you a comprehensive training programme based in our head office in our new training centre.

Our Franchises
We offer two franchise options:
A Full House-Hut Franchise. With this option you get a large exclusive terrritory and you are in control of and run all aspects of the business. This option offers you the maximum oportunity to build a valuable business to sell on in due course. With this option you are truly managing and running your own business and will need to employ staff from an early stage. For further information see our Full Franchise.
An Individual House-Hut Franchise. This option has significantly lower start up costs and your working capital requirements are less. The exclusive territories are still generous, but less than with a Full Franchise and are designed to be operable by just one person. We handle a lot of the back end administration and handle the calls to free you up to concentrate on growing your business. Can I sell my franchise?
YES - It is your business and you have the right to sell it at anytime for as much as you can get. We are looking for people to join us who don’t just want to earn an income but who are looking to build a substantial business which they can then sell on at a profit at some future point in time. We offer large territories to enable you to realise that dream.
Is this a good time to get into the property industry?
YES it certainly is! After nearly 2 years of recession in the industry we are now showing very strong signs of recovery which has now been sustained for the past 12 months. Many of our competitors have closed their doors and so there is more opportunities for those that are left. Only the best have survived the recession and so with House-Hut you can be sure of joining a sound organisiation with a proven record of profitablily - even in a recession. The best time to start a new business is just at the end of a recession when the competion is small and there is a reasonable expectation of many years of market growth ahead. This is probably the best time in 20 years to enter the industry!
Who are we looking for?
Choosing the right person to open a franchise with us is as important as it is for you to choose the right franchise. You may understand therefore why we take great care in choosing franchisees to ensure not only that they are successful but also to ensure that the ongoing reputation and success of House-Hut is maintained. Previous experience in estate agency is not necessary but it does help if you are interested in property!
Training & Experience.
No experience in estate agency is necessary to become a franchisee although an interest in property is desirable. We offer a full and comprehensive training program in all aspects of the business including property appraisals, negotiating, sales progression, legislation, home information packs, advertising, finances and accounting to name but a few areas. The training is tailor made to suit our individual franchisee’s needs and previous experience. There is a period of initial training lasting between 1 month during which much of the initial groundwork will be put in place and at the end of this period you will be ready to start trading. You will receive further ongoing training during this early period of operating. You will then benefit from continuing support and mentoring from us to provide on going support and development. Our unique model allows you to start up with minimal staff requirements and premises will not be required.
We have a number of territories available - some are virgin areas where you can grow the business from scratch, some have existing business to give you a head start and we also have full up and running areas. The speed with which your business grows depends on many factors including market conditions and your personal efforts. However because of the awards and the large territories we offer we expect your business to grow rapidly in the first year.
