The Government has announced on the 20th May 2010 that with immediate effect they are suspending the HIP regulations with a view to passing a bill to repeal the legislation in the near future.

Houses coming on the market after this date will no longer require a Home Information Pack.  In order to comply with EEC regulations properties will still require an Energy Performance Certificate which is valid for 10 years.  This is not required before a house goes on the market.

We believe the scrapping of this legislation is very good for both buyers and sellers.  Not only can we get your house on the market much quicker, it significantly reduces the cost of selling, and gets rid of unnecessary and unwanted paperwork.
