We offer all the usual services that you would expect from an estate agent, plus a lot more through our 10 point service commitment. We offer you your personal estate agent to guide you through the process of selling or buying your home. We believe in listening to our customers and our philosophy is to put our customers first. As members of the Ombudsman for Estate Agents Scheme you have the reassurance of knowing we abide by their strict codes of practice this also provides you with an independent point of redress. We are totally independent and do not have to meet head office targets aimed at pleasing shareholders. Once you have told us what you are looking for we will remember and not send you lots of irrelevant properties sorted by a faceless computer. We have a policy of honesty to both our sellers, and buyers, we’ll tell you how it really is! When we say we will ring you back we will! We will call you regularly to keep you informed of progress even if there is ‘no news’. We won’t try and sell you mortgages or insurance (although we are happy to put you in contact with people who can if required) - all we do is sell and let houses! We will accompany all viewings if required and follow the sale through to completion keeping you informed all the way.

How do we do it?

Where we differ from traditional agents, is that we don’t have a high street shop and the savings we make we pass on to you. Our lowest fee is just £600+vat - any house - any price! Alternatively we charge from just 0.5% commission on a sole agency basis or 1.2% commission if you wish us to accompany viewings. See our price calculator. We don’t tie you into long term contracts, our view is if your unhappy with the service you are recieving from your agent you should be free to choose another! We can offer a variety of payment options from a no sale no fee commission so there are no upfront charges , with this option if we don’t sell your property you don’t pay us, through to our fixed fee option of just £600 payable upfront. Our properties are marketed in the local property papers and also nationally via Rightmove - the UK’s most visited property web site, FindaProperty.com, PrimeLocation and Fish4homes. All our properties are viewable on our web site at www.house-hut.com. In addition we produce full colour brochures of all our properties including floor plans.

Estate Agent of the Year Awards

For the third year running House-Hut Estate Agents has won awards at the prestigious Estate Agent & Letting Agent Awards supported by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In 2010 House-Hut collected the regional Gold Award for the South West of England having won Silver in 2008 & 2009. They also went on to win the overall Gran Prix Silver Award for the UK 2010.

The annual estate agent awards are the largest awards in the industry and the only ones where our customers choose the winners. The event was held at the five star Marriott Hotel in Mayfair London which, was attended by 500 guests and is the highlight of the estate agents calendar. The awards were presented by top TV personality Phil Spencer of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location.

On receiving the award Maria Mitchell Managing Director of House-Hut said “what makes these awards so special is that they are voted for by our customers who have to fill in a detailed questionnaire about the service they have received. It is gratifying to receive recognition for all our hard work - people say being an estate agent is easy, but being a good agent is very hard work. We would like to thank all our customers who have supported us over the past year and who are at the centre of everything we do”.

Phil Spencer who will present the Awards said: “This is the 5th year of the Estate Agent and Letting Agent Awards and I’ve increasingly enjoyed being part of the celebrations on each occasion.
